    Works like this:
Unzip the file...it will be a PostScrit file.
With Command Workstation Or Fiery Downloader send this file via the DIRECT Queue.
The Fiery will then print one sheet with the admin password. Beats the heck out of reloading system software.

Hope it helps someone in a pinch. As far as I know it works with all models past and present.

    Re: Fiery Password Retrieval Tool

    Thanks for the work around!

Not quite sure what is meant with this line though, "With Command Workstation Or Fiery Downloader send this file via the DIRECT Queue", an further explanation would be much appreciated.

You can skip the utilities altogether if you want.

    From a command prompt, type: lpr -S <ip address> -P direct <filename>

    For example: lpr -S 102.168.1.5 -P direct c:\giveitup.ps

The "S" and "P" must be in caps, and "direct" must be in lowercase.
