| For scan to e-mail you need to put the following.
you need an IP, Subnet mask, Default gateway, DNS if you are going to use the server name if not then just ping the SMTP server name and get the IP from the replies.
The next thing I would do is from TopAccess:
log in to the macine,
under "Setup" select "Network" and you need the following:
under SMTP Client - make sure that it is enabled, and type the SMTP server name or the IP address, if it requires authentication make sure you put that in there and make sure you have the right port by default it should be 25
SMTP Server, here you can type the e-mail address for the machine.
then hit e-mail and type the e-mail address there.
that should be it.
if this didn't help then go to job status select scan. it will tell you if it fail. you can also select log and then scan it will show you a code that will help you alot. |
