NEVER ASSUME ANYTHING
LOL...I also have a Note 2. Had it a year...love it.
Yes there have been some great helpful ideas and I am returning to the machine this morning.
A lovely 75 mile drive to check over the list of ideas I have been given from everyone.
The Erase Lamp...whats the best way to test that. SP switch to turn it on and off with door open?
Just have not had to use that one.
Also whats a good ohm number to check for drum ground?
Thanks
Jeff
"I would still look for the dev drive (bias) continuity as the probable cause, takes a while to strip, but sometimes it's worth "biting the bullet"
Whats the check for that? I assume it's a drive to gnd. check but where's the best place to get that done?
So silly...12 years and never had this kind of problem with a unit...oh yeah and it's 75 miles away.
Thanks
Jeff
Have you cleaned the connector in the back of the machine, that the pcu plugs into???? BTW this machine originally had a rebuild able pcu in it, and by useing the 1027 pcu your cpc is now way above the manufacturers estimate. Been down that not profitable road before.
Mystic Crystal Revelations
See attached,
Remove unit, push "B", release slowly. If it sticks, that's probably the problem.
if you can get to the front of the mag roller you can check continuity from the bias tag at the rear pcb, not easy to reach this tag.
otherwise strip down the back (flywheel / pcb bracket etc) and remove the boss holding shaft "B"
As a quick fix you could lub the shaft with wd40 or similar to free shaft B up, but may not last.
