| If you replace a whole dev unit the machine will detect it as a new unit and initialise the developer and reset the PM counter for that unit automatically.
If you only change the developer you manually need to initialise that colour developer changed with SP 3902-xxx then cycle the power off / on.
You can just replace a drum unit without doing anything special.
But it is good practice and comes in handy to reset the counters for all major PM items you replace. |
