What a mess....., who needs W8 anyway except MS and the hardware sellers.

And me, apparently. The trusty old Dell laptop that I had used since '02 lost it's last cooling fan recently, and the machine I replaced it with is running Windows V8.
Oh well, I haven't personally run into any walls of stupidity that I couldn't handle yet. (Tip: if Windows 8 tells you to go online to sign in, you probably fat fingered your password while offline, just retype the password correctly.) Then again it hasn't been that long yet, so I'll just have to see what happens next.
well when you initially create an account on Windows 8 it tries makes you create a Windows Live internet account. Trying to challenge Google of having all your devices and apps sync up.
But you can still make a local account.
The next release of Windows 8 won't be a touch/desktop hybrid. They caved in and made it a mouse-keyboard interface. Of course, the touch interface will still be available.
If I can print from my laptop with no issues, it is not my problem.
Want me to solve it, PAY ME.
Why do they call it common sense?
If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?
We have a customer who upgraded all computers to 8.1 even though everything was working fine for them. Now randomly their print spoolers get overwhelmed making the printers print 1 page every few minutes. Nightmare. If it isn't broke don't fix it.
This is a pretty sweet find.
