It means that a piece of paper was detected in the paper path when the machine was turned or when a door was closed. If the machine has am external finisher, the usual cause is the jam door switches on the bridge unit. Replace the switches and make sure that all firmware is up to date.

I think it was 4 years ago. MP C2000 with intermittend jams. Turned out to be a bad push-switch for the waste toner container. These jams also do not show up on the jam history.

Possibly the same push switches used on the bridge unit?

If the machine has a bridge unit installed check the bridge unit push switch as this is a known issue on them. At power on usually has something to do with a door switch or cover that is not making proper contact.

Also make sure the Engine firmware is up to date. one of the new firmware versions said something about changing the timing to reduce those bridge switch power on jams.

I never replace the push switches, I have always taken them apart and cleaned the grease from the contacts with alcohol, this method has never let me down
