I have a number of machines in a almond process plant. This method works fine for a temporary fix, but I have found that though it takes months for enough almond dust to get into the switches the first time, it only takes weeks after taking them apart and cleaning them. Also I tend to get a little clumsy working with small parts and have had to spend excessive time finding the spring when I drop one.

    Hello All,

    Namaste from India!

I have been following this encyclopedia for more than 2 years now. (Sorry about them who dont know this)

I have a MPC2000 which had few issues earlier. I replaced the Thermistor in the fuser.

Eventually SC290 came up after that. After removing the shutter dust cover, it still showed up. Then I changed the presence to " NOt Present" via SP Mode.

Now, after that it worked flawless for around say 120 copies.

Then it started throwing SC792 at me, with the J001 paper feed issue at all A B C D.... (may be till Z if it had an option to).

I tried to get to the front door switch, and, cleaned all the contacts, checked them when they open and close. (Dint work)

Then i manually shorted the contacts(Front door switch cable) and checked if the machine would work. (Read on)

It did not. Meanwhile, i was searching for any solution on this issue. (Say some 10 mins were spent on copytech)

Now, it suddenly showed SC680-01. I restarted the machine.

The Machine started to load the toner, eventually i was relieved. (I thought so)

After the screen showed "ready", the machine again threw the paper jam error J001.

I'm unable to understand, as to what is really wrong in this.

This machine doesnt have a Finisher(SC792), but the SC code shows up citing paper jam error.

I've carefully observed the peper feed section, and there is no paper/bits/pieces which is causing the jam.

I'm here to seek you(Pro's) assistance to resolve this.

All the toners are 3/4th full.
    Firmware 1.12V
Machine has done around 150000 black; 80000 CLR.
No Finisher/punching devices attached to it.

Please let me know if more details are needed, and i shall provide the same.

    thanks

(If this reply is not relevant, please direct me to the appropriate section.)
