Feed Roller renue liquid (stinky/not suitable for closed offices, for use only in shop or open sea/desert environments).

Yes, that works, along with Fedron, that is ilegal in most states; I would still use WD-40 for most feed rollers (except the neoprene type).

I've switched to Goo Off, found in the grocery store.

Just use Sel-Sol. It will not make you pass out when you use it. And, although I wouldn't drink it I don't worry every time I get some on my hand. Some say WD-40 is good, but it is a petroleum product, and petroleum products tend to break down rubber.

There's a freaking bottle in our shop. We BRIEFLY had a tech from a previous Iron Curtain country who got our boss to order it. Can't stand the stuff. One of our other techs didn't read what it was and put some on a rag to clean a machine being refurbed and sold. A quick "What the hell are you doing?" from me got his attention in time. I'm certain that stuff alters DNA.

Here's a good rule of thumb: If the stuff you want to use isn't totally safe, DON'T USE IT!!!

Replace the part if it's not a safe bet.

i think almost all of us who have been at this for a great length of time have faced this dilemma and succumbed to using some nasty stuff.

It's just not worth the risk...these parts are called "consumables" for a reason. Admittedly, some are way more difficult to replace than others, but that's the nature of the beast sometimes.

What works as well to clean baked toner on a fuser entrance guide? Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow lung disease will get me first.

A flexible six inch steel ruler? That's what I used for that.
If you aren't careful you'll destroy the fuser that way though.
For what it is worth, it might be more productive to find out why that toner is there before you try cleaning it off.
