    I have had this issue before on a MP4000 and my dogears were caused by the metal frame just above the registration rollers and next to the pcu. Ours was that rail next to the pcu was bent and we either bent it outwards or inwards cant remember its been awhile. I found that fix on here somewhere years ago.

    This was the problem. It was crashing into the pcu. just barely nicking it so it was intermittent. It was was bent inward. This guide is easily bent Ill be looking for it now. Evened it out and YAY!!!
    I don't know why I didn't see it, I must have had tunnel vision.
