You may want to try this. Remove the mirror motor from the LD unit. At the very edge of the pcb there is a small black plastic mirror keeper. This is the only thing holding the mirror to the board. Turn it to the left or right and pull the mirror off. Clean the inside of the bushing with alcohol and also the mirror shaft. Reinstall, secure the keeper and clean the mirror. This will sometimes get you back up and running for a while.
