    Ricoh Spare part policy

    Hello
A question... What is the Ricoh spare parts policy?.... For how many years they have to guarantee the spare parts?.... We have two different situations..... Customers with very old machines... 10+ years an we can order spare parts with no problems...... And customers with "newer" machines (copyprinters... Or similar) where we need some stupid part but can't order it because it's out of production.

There is a document. This is from the US, but I'd be surprised if things are different elsewhere. As already stated, the period is seven (7) years from discontinuance of the product.

What it generally means is, after 7 years has elapsed, that parts support for older products will continue as long as the existing stock of parts does. Once stock is depleted there will be no more new manufacture, however, if Ricoh has the part and someone wants the part then they will gladly sell the part. Might just mean the planning for how many spare parts to make is improving so parts run out sooner after product discontinuance. Planned obsolescence at its finest, no?
