    TA-5500i/TA5501i fuser question

So, the 5500i fuser unit item number is FK-6306
the 5501i's fuser unit is item number FK-6306B

Does the B stand for backward compatible? I've got a 5500i with a bad fuser, and a 5501 fuser that's in good shape, but I don't want to drive to the customer to try this out without knowing whether or not the 6306B is backward compatible.

    Thanks.

Yes... the 5501i fuser will work in the 5500i... but the 5000i fuser will not work in the 5501i
