    Ir9070 HDD help

I was gifted an ir9070 and run a copy/print shop. I've spent a month or two on this forum learning and getting insight into machines. Thanks everyone here for input and participation. I've solved several problems with my 4570s by reading the threads here.

Before I have an authorized service tech come out and use the SST to reload software, I need to add a HDD to this machine. Since I don't know where the old one was, and I cannot find documentation online, I figured I'd ask someone here. Does the HDD hook up to the IDE or scsi type interface in the photo where I circled it?

I know where to order from. I just want to make sure the HDD isn't tucked into a panel behind something else. I've seen some weird configurations with these Canon machines. Thanks for the help.

The manual shows that location. I could not find quickly how to remove it. I used a ir105 book. There is an updated SATA hard drive that requires many parts (PDF dated 2013). I could not cut and paste from the PDF. That is an old model. I had one once that the print shop would not buy a new one until I could not get parts. He loved it but I hated it. Best bet would be to buy used one with the bracket. SATA comes with mounting hardware, board and other misc parts. Nothing easy to help you, manual not online, and most parts Canon does not sell anymore.

Looking at your pictures it looks like you are missing the HDD along with the caddy & IDE cable etc.

If you are looking sourcing one try & get the complete ass'y from a scap machine etc.

See link below figure 900 item 25 etc.
