Its really about is I like to take things apart and i work as an independant over 28years now.I dont
like the disposable mindset that techs i worked with before going solo all seem to follow, except a few.
What Ricoh gets to charge, like that small metal shaft piece you need when you do the transfer roller cases on the mpc3501 is crazy ...
I bought one and will make a few with my grinder, stone and tools in my workshop..even the metal plate i am making too..
the biggest issue i had with these pumps was taking them apart without breaking any tabs..but that i now have all figured out..

going solo has its bumps in da road...
liked it better when i was product specialist and the service manager insisted id take $1000 worth of circuit to every headache machine..
90% of the time it was not board related but more bad tech related....

Many years ago I worked on Vydec word processors. I carried a couple of board boxes with at least one of each board in the machine. Most problems were board problems. Other than the Qume printer, there wasn't much mechanical to adjust. Also carried an O-scope for watching wave forms when adjusting the printers.
