    3252ci memory light blinks

We installed this to replace a Taskalfa 3051ci . The old unit never had a call.
We replaced main pwb, HDD, and fax board. The memory blinks after we plug in the LAN.
There is no internet access. The machine locks you out of service mode.
We took a 5052ci into the location and the symptoms are the same.
We are doing a packet capture next. Any ideas could help. Oh yea there are no jobs in job status.

I would suspect that something other than a print driver is sending data to this printers IP. A simple test would be to print directly via crossover from your laptop. If that works try changing the IP to a different unused address. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

    Agree. Change IP
I’d also turn off all unused protocols and even try port 8080 if the above doesn’t help. I had a virus on a network once that was hammering the http port and locking the machine up.

The problem here is that Calgary, Alberta has to get the mac address and assign an ip.
The 5052ci we took and had the same symptoms was just plugged into the
network and didn't get the ip address assigned. IT STILL had the memory light flash.

Try taking it off auto detect network speed. I've had a few issues that were resolved by setting the network speed manually.

If that's a DHCP reservation, you can still just turn off DHCP and set a static IP to test.

Was the 5052ci connected to the same drop or switch?

    Re: 3252ci memory light blinks

We just had one with the flashing memory light. It turned out to be an old TA3050 driver being directed to the new printer. Changed to correct driver and all is good.
    From ntbann on another thread.

What happen if you plug your laptop in, does it get an IP address?
See if you can plug copier into a different data port in the area and try,
Agree have them assign a new Ip address for the copier and load a new driver
    KX driver set to pcl5e

Also ping the ipaddress with the data cable unplugged , maybe a another device using that same Ip address

If its using the same ipaddress as the old unit did IT update the current new machine MAC address in the DHCP reservation? If not that's the issue.
