    No Solutions to Problems

I'm sure this has been discussed many times before, but I see far too many threads asking for help, getting tons of help, and then never closing out the issue with the fix! Wow, that really chaps me! Read through all of the posts and all of the really good suggestions and then CRICKETS! At least thank them for the contributions and the biggest thank you of all is to POST THE SOLUTION!!!!!

This is something that I have always tried to do, especially with the manufactures support, to give feedback of the solution so hopefully it helps others along the way. Internally we talk weekly and share all difficult problems with each other.

It's rude as hell but at least the suggestions get out there to help future search results.

You'll get used to it. I honestly don't mind the lack of followup.

The responses that really bother me are: "That sounds too hard. I don't want to work that hard to fix it. Isn't there something easier that I can do?"
    =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

    Re: No Solutions to Problems

In an old help forum, we had to put a button called "Solved" to fight this. If you pressed it, it automatically created a post to say the problem is solved. Unfortunately it did not work much but we put after 15 days without an answer, the post is automatically solved / abandoned.

So true. But unfortunately it's not limited to people being only lazy. I would ad it's lack of culture(you know-first 7 years).
So one going here asking for solution, if you find it, be a man step ahead and acknowledge it, give thanks to the people who helped and be helpful for the future people with same problem.
That's the way I see it, but I may be wrong ha-ha.

    Re. No resolve posting.

It's probably more a case of personal bruised ego or further losing face in eyes of the forum.
The resolve fix was probably something the Tech overlooked, and any type of resolve reply post would make those subject to more bruised ego from the forum typical anecdotal interjection.

Most offering their knowledge and experience to the subject fault see it a personal a let-down when there is no resolve correspondence to a subscribed forum fault.
Its a bit like watching and waiting for the end of a good movie only to see the DVD scratched and unable to play the last scene; --somewhat annoying not knowing the outcome.

Those of us that step (or are thrown) in front of the bus each day eventually get used to getting run down a few times a day. It doesn't hurt that much, and it's worth the associated education.

You can't know everything (and in many cases: not much to nothing), but that's perfectly alright. There's quite an art to standing there and looking foolish with confidence. =^..^=

    Hi there!
It΄s a shame to get no feedback, but getting often (!) no feedback from your own technicians is worst.
    Greetings...
