a) Create scan folder on target PC/Server, share it and set full access for "everyone".
b) Enter hostname/IP address as well as the shared folder on the source machine (//blabla/Scans).
c) Enter a valid username/password combination so the machine can authenticate itself (maybe create a new user just for the machine to be safe from changing passwords).
d) Not working? Check firewalls, check ports. RARE, but happens.
d) Done.

Dont know if this helps, nor do I know if this machine even supports SMB scanning, but if you could provide a little more info I could most likely help you out more

EDIT: Google says it supports SMB so there has to be a possibility to make it work.
As I said in the title, the customer wants the scan setup to ftp, I am familiar with smb but not ftp, thanks for you reply
