No arcade games available

Can someone offer me some help. All of a sudden I cannot get the arcade games to operate. I am able to enter the arcade, and select a game, but instead of that game appearing, all I get is a blank section with a small red cross in the top left corner. As far as I am aware nothing has changed on the system. I have to admit that I am no expert on computer settings.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
