Oh yeah was good times. Was also the same time I got my first cable internet connection, a whopping 256kbps i think.
I was one of those that loved the bazooka, until it got nerfed, because it was considered the "noob toob". I got better, I was ok at it, I even joined a clan on GameSpy breifly..

I had trouble with some older games on XP mode in Windows 7. However, installing XP via VirtualBox seems to work properly even will full screen games.
The holy Splinter Cell Trilogy (Splinter Cell, Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow, and Splinter Cell Chaos Theory) still works in W7 without any trouble.
Thank god they didn't make any more games than that. It would have been a disaster to the series.
One of the first PC games I remember playing almost constantly was Novalogic's Delta Force 2. Loved it.
I remember it came with a demo of Tachyon: The Fringe, which I managed to get my hands on only the other month through Steam.
I think the first game I had was called something like Starquest: Trade Routes of the Nebula. It came on two 3.5" floppy disks. Some of the critters that lived in the nebula were pretty hard to trade with, as they'd rather shoot my spaceship until it exploded. And the fuel for my spaceship turned out to be an ancient intelligence that lived on a geological timescale. Sucked to be them.
CROC 2 legend of the gobbos. lolwut
I just picked up the Dungeons and Dragons anthology from gamersgate. I've had fun playing Baldur's Gate II right now, modded for W7 and high-res monitors.
Looking forward to playing through these classics.
Cthulhu for president! Why settle for the lesser evil?
