The problem is that when you use the ADF it is shifting the position of the copy intermittently. The shift is to the front or rear, not lead to trail. The distance varies when it happens but it isn't the same on every copy, nor does it happen on every copy. Just put in new ADF rollers. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

RobinWas the fault present before you changed the rollers? Is the ADF level front to rear? Is the copy showing a skew?

The problem was there before we changed the rollers. We have not adjusted ADF height and or position. The entire copy is shifted but not skewed. And it is intermittent.

Have you taken copies from the glass?

Have you gone into service mode and adjusted "original tray width" for the DF?

We did make copies from the glass and those were fine. Otherwise we haven't made any adjustments to it yet. Since it was an odd problem we hadn't seen before we were trying to gather as many ideas as possible for going back out on the machine. Thanks for the all ideas and keep them coming if you have them. Thanks.

There is a special A4 test chart that comes with each MFP for adjusting the ADF. All of this is done through SM. The test chart allows for proper lead edge positioning front/rear, document stop front/rear and zoom calibrations. You can also calibrate the ADF tray min/max readings. Emujo

Is there a way to order the chart, we don't have one? Thanks for the help.

9J071XC048DA (the "1" may be an "I" or a "l" hard to tell by the parts manual). Emujo

There are no "I"s in KonMin part numbers. They are always "ones". Also, there are no "O"s, they are always "zeros"

Ok so this happen with scans and not with prints too just to be clear its not the registration clutch.
Change the direction you scan the paper in from LEF to SEF. And see is the shift changes from SUB to MAIN scan.

OK here is the test chart, formatted for A4, all you need is some A4 paper and your set. part# is on the chart if needed. Emujo
