Having one of those weeks! Copier only jams when doing 11x17 stapled booklets.Copier only has 30k on it, so doubt if it's wear related. All other paper sizes and modes work great in the finisher and SD-511. Latest firmware, went through and cleaned all rollers in SD unit and checked all guides etc. Paper has some curl to it, wondering if anyone has had issues w/ paper curl in these units? I lowered the fusing temp, but not any help. Is there a recommended paper brand that won't curl?

Are you using the appropriate media type? For example, are you telling the MFP that it's plain paper, just so that you can get the 200gsm cardstock into the booklet maker? If yes, it won't work. They do set media weight limits for the saddle stitcher for a very good reason. The booklet maker won't take 10 pages of 200gsm paper, fold and staple it successfully. So often the enduser thinks they can use it as a production machine, when its an office machine. =^..^=

Thanks Black cat. It's just plain 20lb paper.

You won't have the kind of paper curl compensations like you might find in a production machine, but you can reduce the fuser temperature a little. There really isn't a way to change the fixing pressure. =^..^=

We just had this and could find no mechanical reason for it. Firmware didn't help either. We replaced the board on the SD unit and it started working immediately.
