Brother 2820 error

screen reads "unable to print, refer to users guide" checked the guide, says power off/on. tried. let sit for a few hours. tried again. same thing. machine has only been in the field for a 3 weeks. any ideas?

you can try doing a reset by entering "menu/set" & "*2864" all within 2 secs. you should see "maintenance" on screen. if not, try entering code again. once in maint. mode, enter "91". should say "parameter init." enter "99" to exit. if there is a true problem, you should see some sort of code pop up.

thanks, tried that. no help. kicks me back out to the same screen reading "unable to print"

menu, * , 2,8,6,4 and then 82.. should give you error code log or list. then let us know...

also check the back door to make sure the paper flag is not broken.

or try service function 01 for full factory reset
