Hello,
I would like to consult with you about a problem I have with a DF. It is the model DF-629, installed in a bizhub C258 that has only 2 months of life. When the scan starts, the jam code 66-33 exits. I thought of an obstruction but inside I did not find anything.

By removing the covers, I have noticed that a motor does not turn to rotate the 3 rubber rollers.

In your opinion could it be some sensor? Engine failed?

Make sure those white driven rollers have there springs installed correctly.

I have done a load check of the DF engines.

First I tried M2 and then M3. I have found that M2 runs smoothly while M3 is activated, makes a strange noise as if it were turning but not turning. I also tried to remove it from the gears and keep making noises without turning.

I think the flaw is this. The strange thing is that a new DF, maybe a flaw.

It could then be the motor the motor cable or the motor driver if the motor is buzzing and not turning there is otherwise not enough current to the motor or one of the phases is missing.
Most probably a bad PCB. Or whatever else.

Swap the cables around to test the motor.

I know this won't be an easy disassembly, but in cases like this I usually remove the motor from it's mount but keep it plugged in, then initialize the machine.

If there is excessive drag on the drive, the motor will spin fast and quietly. If it still turns slowly or buzzes, you can be sure that its not mechanical drag, leaving either the motor connections, harnesses, or DF controller.

I've specifically seen a pinched motor wire cause slow rotation and buzzing. Also a bad driver circuit, or loose connector. Much more rarely, I've seen another component shorted, that runs off the same leg of the DC Power Supply. Let's hope its not that. It's very difficult to diagnose.

Hello,
first of all, thank you for your help! I removed the engine and installed the new one. Unfortunately I had the same problem.

I moved the DF to another Bizhub C258 and from the same problem, so I think it will not be due from the machine but from the DF.
At this point, I'll try replacing the DF Controller card to see if it's her.

I will let you know. Thanks again :D

In the solution guide of the Bizhub 423 does not indicate the following:

Frequent jam code 6633 when scanning. 3. The Registration clutch (CL2 ) harness or wiring harness from clutch to Document Feeder Control Board (DFCB) rubs agains the sharp metal frame and damages the wire/clutch. Ensure the wire is not pinched or rubbing on the frame. Repair clutch wiring or replace CL2 (p/n A143 PP75 00), Wire Harness assembly (p/n A143 PP8M 01) or possibly the DFCB (p/n A143 PP7Y 00). Note : If clutch is repaired/replaced and the jam code persists, check for a poor connection (J16) or an OPEN ICP (F9) on the DF Control Board.

I hope it helps you solve your fault.

Check that ICP could then have a spare board to store.
Doing a warranty claim?

Good evening, I had the same problem with df-629. (bizhub c224)
I replaced the logic board of the df and now it works.
thanks for support
