Did you check the sensors? How did you end up with this issue? How many copies machine has?

much more info is needed. Has drum or developer ever been changed? How long ago? Did you clear the counters?

This may sound stupid but is the dev rotating? Had 1 that the drive coupling fell off but I didnt realize it.. chased my tail for a bit till I saw that!
Regards!

ERROR 6

That means IDC sensor faulty checked this sensor.

-clean very well the drum, cleaning blade from exccesive toner or mounting powder, CLEAN IDC SENSOR - all parts near drum- reinstall the drum.
-turn on the machine with utility/counter pressed ,when trouble reset appear enter in service mode and run TCR adjustment.
if do not work -replace IDC sensor.

I agree, I've seen this common issue on the predecessor to the B500 (7145) and the IDC sensor the one that looks at the drum is dirty or bad. Make sure its clean by using alcohol and a soft pad.

Ive got one about to roll a million copies and havent touched the boards yet. Just had to replace a 29 tooth pulley gear in the finisher for a weird grinding noise, gear was practically shredded! Need to go back with the bracket it mounts to though as it was all bent up. :(
