Got a Sharp AR-M208 with a miss feeding/jam issue. It stalls just after going through the Fuser, leaving half of the paper fine and the other half, the lower half, in an accordion in the Fuser.

This happens whether I am copying multiples or sending a job for offset finishing. This jam issue is intermittent – but usually occurs when doing more than 5 copies or so.

I was having an issue with the Off Set before this - swapped out the Shifter Motor didn't seem to make a difference, and the Fuser is brand new.

Any suggestion would greatly appreciate. Thanks!

Check the upper fuser roller gear and the gear on the main drive unit that drives it. Also check the gate that delivers the paper to the finisher or the middle output tray. I have seen the gate get in the way, also the main drive gear skip. If the fuser has been rebuilt definately check the main drive gear.
Good luck.

What jam codes are you getting? Does it have the finisher option installed? Have you tried running aging mode without misfeed detection?

What jam codes are you getting?

I have a suggestion:
Misfeeds (jam code PIN_END) from tray #1 &#2. Paper is left 1/2 way through the fuser and 2nd page 5mm short of the registration roller. Poor spring connection to separation charge. Stretch the contact spring for the separation charge.

Like mtech says, the fuser drive gear on the rear frame wears the teeth sharp (haha-pun). It's extremely common, and I replace these gears at 150K intervals (every other PM). =^..^=

It's the fuser sensor. The heat kills them. The gear would be making a noise leading you right to it.
