I have mineral mechanical toner that I use in a Canon 1150, aka. Ceramic Toner
I put it into a C500 (cf5001 or 8050) , But the black seems to be put down too thick, or my bias need to be adjusted.
Can any one please give me more information on how I can do this.
Thanks.
Gerard

You need to dump the black dev and replace it . vac up all the canon toner in the machine..................It's not the same as Minolta C500 just because its black its not all the same. If you start ujusting the black bias it will have an effect on all colours due to under colour removal. also the toner for a C5001 is not the same as C500 all be it to a lesser degree.

Our toner is formulated to work with Canon 950 and 1150.
A similar toner has been used in a KMc500 with success.
Now I'm not asking for any ones opinion on weather this will work or not.
All I want to know is how to Adjust Bias on black on KMc500.
that's all .
Thank you.

I could be wrong, but I've just searched trough the service manual and there's no way of manually adjusting the developing bias. The most you get is a couple of software dipswitches to prevent backgrounding on copies/prints, but that's it.

Of course, someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

mrwho is right. There is no Bias adjustment by manual for any Konica Minolta Copier.

Using the genuine toner is the best way to keep the machine in good condition.
