If my memory serves me well, there's no initialization procedure.

Hi, hold down both buttons turn off m/c keep fingers on buttons turn on m/c, let it get to ready green light only, turn off remove fingers from buttons turn on and it should go in to toner loading and your done after about 15 mins.
