I have a problem with a C6501 - trying to get back to front alignment from tray - and it will not align up. We have tried to run the "align tray" feature - and what we have found is that the image is warped. If you have looked at a tray alignment test page - looking at a 12 x 18 sheet landscape - the bottom left and right line up quite well (within the 0.5mm variance) - but at the top is off by nearly 2mm - giving 3-4mm of "warp" front to back. If I measure the length of the lines that are printed - the top of the page is 2mm longer... Any Suggestions?

Check the transfer belt to ensure that it is properly tensioned and that the bearings that hold the tensioner have not popped out on one side. Ensure the transfer rollers inside have not fallen out of the holders. If there is any damage to the belt or the unit, replace it.

Check to ensure 2nd transfer roller is also sitting properly.

Ensure ALL the drum units are inserted properly, and that all the developer units are sitting square, the springs holding them properly positioned.

Once you have verified those and the skew is still present, on the main screen, select paper settings, select the tray for the paper stock you want to adjust to, select change, and within that screen, select both sides adjust, then select chart adjustment. When in that screen, there is a "copy" button on the top left, select that and print a test chart. There will be a printout of lines vertical and horizontal. Measure each line with an accurate ruler for the lengths in mm. Touch return to get you back to the chart adjust screen and enter the values you measured.
