Perhaps the following will help,

The AR-NC5J can be reset to factory defaults by several methods, but there is no provisions to do it through the Web Setup Page.

1. Use the NICManager program, select Setup and choose Print Server Card Setup . Enter the NIC card password (default is Sharp ) and select the Factory Defaults Button and choose Yes in the Do you wish to load the factory default? dialog box. Turn the printer off for approximately 15 seconds and switch it back on to accept the new settings. NOTE: This procedure can be used with either TCP/IP or IPX/SPX protocols.

2. Use the NICManager program, select Setup and choose Setup by Telnet . Login as admin and enter the NIC card password (default is Sharp ) when prompted. At the Menu prompt, enter 98 ( Reset settings to factory defaults ). Next enter 99 ( Exit ) and close the Telnet sessions. Turn the printer off for approximately 15 seconds and switch it back on to accept the new settings. NOTE: A Telnet session can also be established without using the NICManager Program.

If communications with the AR-NC5J can not be established over the network, use the following hardware reset procedure:

Disconnect the network connection, turn off the printer and remove the jumper for Jumper Switches 1 and 2 from the shipping position (jumper is in the vertical position on the far right pins between Switch 1 and 2). Place the jumper on the Switch pins only (jumper will be in a horizontal position) and turn on power to the printer. The orange status LED will flash on and off rapidly. Wait at least 3 minutes and turn off the printer. Place the jumper back into the shipping position as shown above and turn the printer on. Confirm that the AR-NC5J has been reset to factory defaults before reattaching to the network. Use the NICManager program to reconfigure the AR-NC5J to the desired settings.Cause :
The NICManger program can be used with the TCP/IP protocol even if an IP address has not been assigned by selecting the Print Server Card setup. The program will ask you to assign an IP address when you try to attach to the printer.
