We did this in class and I could have sworn I got a copy of the software but I can't find it. It was software that was an ISO to be burned to disk and then you can boot from it and it will backup the Fiery system onto a USB flash drive.

Can someone please tell me the name of this? I have looked through the controller section of the KM tech site and I can't seem to locate it.

Thanks in advance!

IC-306. This one is attached to a C8000. However, it should work on all the Fiery's excluding the "backpack type", correct?

You're telling it "will backup the Fiery onto an USB flash drive". Are you sure?

What I remember (and it's been a while) is that it will allow you to reinstall the Fiery Software FROM an USB flash drive.

Yeah, I'm sure. We did it in class.

It is on the EFI site, not the KM site.

Here it is : http://services.efi.com/support/drivers/download2.asp?oem=efi&sys=Fiery_toolbox&ver=NA

It's the FCT (Fiery Clone Tool)

Hello,
I have used this "fiery clone tool" to back up fierys, and it works very well
For IC-306 you will need fiery clone tool DVD version 1.4 (back up to DVD/fierys HDD/USB stick)
For older fierys (IC-303/IC-305) you will need fiery clone tool version 1.2

I'm sure a lot of people from KM do not know about this tool...

Just a FYI, on a IC 305 I had to use a 16 gig jump drive to back it up.
