Hi,

We're scratching our heads on this one. The best way to describe it is that when printing cyan halftones, there's about an inch and a half worth of page that the machine doesn't print the color on. So, let's say the halftone sheet comes out in portait view, the bottom 2/3rds are covered in cyan, there's an inch and a half gap, then some more cyan to finish off the page. This happens with internal prints, as well as regular copier/printer functions. The issue is with cyan only.

Here's what happened:
1. Customer replaced all IU's as part of regular maintenance
2. We get called in thinking it just needs a gradiation adjustment. Attempting that gave us a "Stabilizer NG" message. Printed halftones. At this point, cyan actually had a 2 or 3 inch gap.
3. Tried swapping the cyan IU, nothing changed.
4. Tried swapping the transfer belt, nothing changed.
5. Tried swapping the PH unit with one we took off a machine in our warehouse, at this point the gap became 1 and a half inches.
6. Figured maybe our luck sucks, we took it all apart again, and swapped the cyan and magenta PH units since they're the same. The copy quality issue still stuck with the cyan however, which means that it's nothing with the PH unit itself.

So at this point, we know it's not the IU, transfer belt, or PH unit, but the fact that fiddling with that area when we swapped PH units changed the quality was interesting. Any suggestions?

Hi
Try swapping Erase Lamp & MFP Board ( some data loss issue ), rest you have checked everything.

Best Luck.
