Hey all,

Have had a few callouts to this issue lately - I have only seen the machine actually make the noise once and managed to get rid of it by re-seating the drum unit and greasing all drum drive gears.

The customer seems to think it happens early in the morning but I doubt this is making much difference. Has anyone ever seen this and/or resolved it?

The magnetic roller is your problem. Replace the developing unit.

Possibly the outlet of the toner chute with the spiral roller inside blocked by hardened toner.
Eventually also the toner recycling system not working cause of loosened little gear.

Would either issue be resolved by replacing the dev unit then?


Also can the dev unit be ordered as one complete part?

Your best bet is to replace the whole imaging unit PN-A08ER70100. It comes with everything except the drum and developer. First check the toner recycling part for blockages. If no toner is stuck there replace the unit.

Spot on Jimmy, thanks for that part number! I think I will just get the whole unit changed as I have had a lot of issues with it.
