Hey guys, I'm trying to connect a Pi6200 fiery print controller to a Di520. I started out by getting the fiery IP into our range, setup the gateway address subnet, all that good stuff. I get a quick response when I ping it. Then I set goto Add Printer > Create New Port (Standard TCP/IP) > Install the driver, bla bla bla. Well, then I went to Configure Port, change it to LPR, set the print Queue Name to 'print'
Seems like I should be up and running but when I send a test print, nothing happens, no errors, no nothing. I can connect to it through Command Workstation, but when I type the IP into internet explorer nothing comes up. But I can get to the Setup through command workstation. I have no idea whats wrong here, but I have a hunch maybe it has something to do with the queue name? The rest of the printers have the queue name set to print so I assume this one should be to, but I could be wrong. Anybody have any ideas?

I have had similar problems with these models. It seems that it did not like the LPR configuration. I had to enable the Pi6200 port and use the "10000" port assignment.

The WIN XP computer I was using required that I assign the Port Number "10001" to the IPADDRESS Port I installed.

(I had to delete the IPADDRESS Port first and then go through the ADD PRINTER routine, adding the IPADDRESS PORT.)

After that it worked OK. I beleive that the IE Browser worked but it also required that JAVA be installed.

Good Luck

No luck. I'm not sure if I was doing it correctly tho.... I tried a few differnt things. First just changing the port in "RAW" to 10001 no luck there. Then I tried adding a new port 10001, no luck there either. It should be on LPR, correct? If so, where is it I would tell it port 10001?

If memory serves I think there is a setting to enable port 9100 on the fiery. If there is make sure it is enabled and then try printing to port 9100. Alternatively you can join it to your domain if applicable then install an updated driver for xp (i assume)

You are sure that the Fiery have enable the web services? if not you can't connect trough port 80, the same for the LPD service and the same for the RAW port.
