I have a konica minolta bizhub c 280 low volume machine it has an intermittent fault. It makes a clicking noise intermittently when it copies or prints and when it makes the noise the copies come out with faded and blank bands in the crosswise direction not in the feed direction on black only.
Colour copies are fine apart from the black element in the copy and single colour copies are fine aaprt from obviously black copies. If the machine doesnt make the noise the black copies or the black element in the colour copier are ok.
The black drum is ok i have changed it and the black developer unit is o.k.The attached copy is a black copy of the test chart and the blank bands are at right angles to the feed direction it runs across the copies not down
Any one else had this problem any ideas appreciated17220

Looks like you need to replace A0EDM20000 Clutch, there is bulletin #8012 for that

i have a similar problem, but is very intermittent, the noise lasts for no more than about 15 seconds, but i've haven't noticed any problems with copy quality, I've checked the OCP on infohub & can't find the bulletin, is it possible for someone to send it to me

cheers

That clicking noise can also be associated with the x-fer belt assy..pull the belt and open the waste toner port to look for clumps..backups in the auger area can cause the clicks and also cause the auger to jump around in its track and make a grumbling noise. Emujo
