I've got a 5501 that, several times during the day, will completely lose the touchscreen calibration adjustment. The customer then tries to calibrate it, most of the times successfuly and it will last for a while until it loses it all once again. Sometimes the customer will not be able to perform the adjustment and he'll need to power cycle the machine, and when he does the touchscreen is back on alignment without the need to be calibrated.

I'm assuming the touchpanel itself is not at fault, since it can be correctly calibrated and works fine for a while, without any dead spots. Seems like a memory thing, but what can I do? Adjustments? Replacement? The machine works fine beyhond this, so I'm open to suggestions.

Thanks!

Needs a new touch panel for sure.

Counter-intuitive (for the reasons I mentioned on the first post) but replacing the whole operation assembly did the trick so far.

Thanks!

No need, but thanks for the thought.
