Hi

Error E000005-0000 keeps appearing on screen. We already change the web cloth and I tried to clear the error. But the error still persists. Can someone post how to change the web cloth maybe I'm not doing it right. Machine is IR 6010

Thanks

Gary Gallardo

The model is IR 6010. It is only a black and white copier.
The attach thumbnail is correct, that is the part that needs to be replaced. I tried to clear the error but it keeps appearing when you turn on the machine.

when the error displays, enter Service Mode (Add Func > 2 + 8 > Add Func) COPIER > FUNCTION > CLEAR > ERR > OK do this in quick succession and allow the M/C to turn itself off - power on & should be ok.

Also make sure to reset the Web Count in COUNTER > MISC > WEB RESET (& maybe) DURABLES 1 > WEB RESET

This model is a group of ir5000/6000 series. After replacing the web and clearing the error, check on the sensor flag to see if it is" playing" properly. The sensor flag many times tends to break and cause problems.

click on pic to view how sensor sits & and web position

Be sure to reset the following to ‘0’ in service mode whenever you have replaced the fixing web:

COPIER>COUNTER>MISC>FIX-WEB and
COPIER>COUNTER>DRBL-1>FIX-WEB.

Wind the web around the web take-up
roller two or three times while making sure that the arm guide plate (FLAG) will be outside the take-up roller (when attaching to the front).

I've got a C165 imagePress Lite that wouldn't clear the fixing web error. In addition to clearing the counters, etc,I had to go into the ALARM-3 in service mode and open the alarm for the fixing web, and press "done",then it would clear.

Good point to note.

IR's and imagePress printers are two different creatures.🐜🐞--only similar.

Once the machine detects a low web, the alternate counter will count up to 2000 web advancements then go into an E005, thus the reason the reset the counter under misc. I found this out the hard way by racking my brain until I found it explained in service mode.
