Hi all,

Really weird problem that has a few of us stumped.

We have a customer with a iR2020i, every few days it's asking for new toner and shutting off all functions until a new cartridge has been installed.

The toner has been changed a few times, the dev unit has also been replaced with no joy.

Does anyone have any ideas or could shed a bit of light onto this for us?

Canon has a few field issues pub on this>>>


Add Toner is displayed even though Toner has been added.

Solution :
In this case a faulty HVT was causing the "Add Toner" condition. After replacing the HVT the "Add Toner" condition was resolved.

Reformed contacts >>>to create more pressure on contacts on HVT PCB to resolve issue.

Make sure that you are using original Toner , theres a fake Toner wrapped in a new original box so take care .change a new bottle it will work
