How many prints has your machine done so far?The recycling units on these machines can be very temperamental. Also the torque limiters on these, have a finite life and on high mileage machines start causing trouble, especially around the waste bottle area.We have had one where, after checking, and re-checking all the coils and drives, we ended up replacing one of the motors.

Sometimes, you have to vac out the whole system, replace all the hoses and start again....
Also, have you replaced the pump unit bolted onto the right side of the machine, it has a service life?

Good luck

From the Knowledge Base -

Replacement of Toner Recycle Unit will soon be necessary?

" Replacement of Toner Recycle Unit will soon be necessary ". This message will be posted (flashing) in the lower left corner of the console. It is triggered by Sensor S53 that is mounted just behind the recycle drive gear. If S53 does not change state

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Make sure the sensor is clean and also do an input check and see if there is change of state as the recycle gear rotates. There is a good chance that a blast of air will clear the photo interrupter..

Might be a broken coil in the recycle system. Get the complete system out of the machine en check for damage. When you're lucky it's just a toner block. On the early models the coil slipped at the gears end (solder joint) because they used a round coil solderd to the gearconnection. On the new models they used a square end. You have to remove the main motor ect to get it out. Have fun :mad:

I forgot, you have to use a special reset methode. You can find it in the manual.
