I am kind of out of options on this jamming issue. I have swapped out fusers. changed one ways etc. can not seem to figure out why it is doing t his. it is not the fuser. verified. it is in the turn over duplex. I will include a picture. just kind of out of ideas. I have this machine in shop and single side copies are perfect. but single side with more then one original of course will jam because it turns them over for pagination
but not always I did some duplexing this morning. and I got a few through. then it died. thanks again

There is a little flap on the exit side of the fuser, I've seen people break or knock out of place the springs for that causing your swing gate to stick or not move on time. Just a thought as it's a simple fix if ya notice it.

if you are talking about the white gate. the spring is indeed on it. but it feels a little softer then a good working one. like the spring is worn out
I will try to swap. if it is on the fuser I don't think it is it. because in this situation I have swapped out fuser assemblies completely and the problem persisted. thanks

I just looked at one here in the shop...the gate I'm talking about is the black M8 gate. I've seen those springs get popped out of place and cause the exit gate to stick, but if you have replaced the whole fuser unit then this wouldn't be the problem.

A couple things can cause this. It may not be related to the inversion section at all. If the timing from/before registration is off, that can cause it. Also, if you can duplex singles but not more than 3, you might want to look into timing clutches in the duplexer. Try swapping them or changing them out. Also, I've seen flags and gates with paper cut marks in them that cause timing problems, usually around 3+million. Test it with paper in the other direction (short edge leading) and also try different drawers, just in case it's a timing issue with a drawer. Also, the gait solenoid can cause grief, although that's pretty rare. If you can give me the jam codes, I may be able to narrow it down for you.

some more information. upon having 2 machines directly next to eachother at my office. I swapped out the whole center section. what a chore it was.. and it is definitly in this transport section. not the fuser. so I will take your advice and look more closer at the duplex clutches etc. just nearrowed it down. and it is not a drawer. thanks for your advice guys

I think I got it today. but am too ashamed to admit it. lol there was a set of rollers under the fuser in the turn around that I cleaned
and like a miracle. I made so many 2 sided copies. that I think it is fixed. I overlooked the obvious I guess. and hope it is fixed this time

With these machines especially when they start puking toner or developer that stuff gets all down in the lower duplex area and will cause problems. I try to always check that area and clean the rollers and vac out any that build up down there.

There is a set of mylars deep in there that rip all the time for me on this model. I remove them and the problem never comes back. There is also a black pad guide attached to the mylar and it is in the turnover section below fuser. This problem can be intermittent and kicked my butt first time.

You will not see them without removing the guide or really getting perfect angle underneath. I think your problem will come back.

Saw this problem a few days ago. It needed for me to remove the whole transport drawer and put it upside down on a surface. Then remove the duplex tray to see that one of the mylars was broken en pulled back inside the curved guide on the side. Removed the stupid mylar.

Brushed those rollers while is was so easy now the the drawer in front of me, upside down.

I probably need to look further into the machine then you see the other day before I found the rollers to clean I could not even get one copy to duplex now I just ran a set of 50 copies two-sided was like 12 originals in a day great I was curious though how to even clean those rollers down below it seems too hard to remove the lower plastic rollers and access that said a feed rollers any suggestions? I do appreciate your reply
