I would assume blown icp on prcb from/or a shorted tc or iu chip contact pin.

Have you just changed a toner or IU? I have seen similar things when data on one of the chips is corrupt.
if so try changing it again.
Paul.

Does KM have a place in the service mode where they designate what brand or badge will be displayed? Let's say it's designated as an Oce' and you've installed KM IU's and toners. =^..^=

If my memory is to be relied on, I seem to recall that this can be caused by bent, "shorting" contacts on one of the image units!

what logo shows up when you reboot the MFP? is it the rocket ship/outer space logo... or the KM logo. If its the outer space logo.. its also possible the NVRAM has blown, there is a recovery procedure and a few switches that have to be set to recover from this. another option is to print out the configuration page.. if it lists the model as a generic model... again, NVRAM issues.
