Is anyone getting this code after installing any C203/253/353 machine? From the last 3 machines I installed, 2 were end up in this code after 20-30 copies. I feel like someone is making voodoo to me :D
From KM, it seems that a guiding plate from the belt unit is shaped wrong. There is a replacing part (i don't have the part number now but I can give you later if it is someone interested). Also, they changed that part on the belt unit, be careful, the belt with the new guiding plate have a new code, if you order the one from the parts manual you might end up with the bad guiding plate and eventually with the error code...

Maybe this will help.

I know the procedure, but more interesting are the reactions of the clients when the new machine is not working after a few pages :)

I had the same error today on a c253 model after I replaced the transfer belt last week.

After checking CL7, M5 & PS31 end resetting everything worked normal though.

Thanks for the info

you can install the new "transfer detection assy" P/N:A02ER70811
The transfer belt unit to MFP is new now P/N: A02ER73001.
No forget to reset C2152 with mode trouble reset
god luck

with this code also look out for people using screws that are too long on the transfer belt retension plates as this stops the motor from engaging and causes the c2152 also. people have a habit of using the paper feed screws. had this on 2 machines now.

C2152 can come from various things, there is a tech bulletin available in the Knowledgebase for those that have access to MyKonicaMinolta.com

For those that dont - have fun! Could be as simple as a new detecting plate for your transfer belt, or could be as difficult as ordering a new bracket and actuator, which to get to it requires the removal of the entire back of the machine, drive and all... to get to one screw that holds the bracket on. Note, the modified bracket appears on new machines, serial numbers listed below. Just had to tackle it on a C203 and it was the bracket, was not fun... 4 hours to go in and out and test. Probably could have gone faster, but ive never gone in the back on one of these before, so figuring out what screws to go after took some time.

Description:
C2152.
Solution:

PROBABLE CAUSES:
1. Detecting Plate not positioned properly.
Shape of the detecting plate has been modified. Install the modified Detecting Plate (p/n A02E503301). Please refer to the attached procedure for instructions on how to install the modified bracket. To view the PDF, Adobe Reader® must be installed. Adobe Reader® can be downloaded for free from the Adobe® web site at: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html (http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html).
Note: The following are the serial number cut-ins having the modified Detecting Plate:
bizhub C353 - A02E010005899 and onward
bizhub C203 - A02E012005777 and onward
bizhub C253 - A02E011005566 and onward
bizhub C353P - A02E013000060 and onward

2. Transfer Belt Retraction Sensor (PS31) mounting bracket (p/n A02E112100) is fixed with a screw and it can be tilted while assembling. If the bracket is tilted, the sensor cannot detect the Transfer Belt position properly.
In order to avoid tilting the bracket, the shape of the bracket has been changed. And shape of the sensor actuator has also been changed because the actuator could touch the other parts.
PARTS
A02E112100 - current Bracket
A02E112111 - modified Bracket
A02E112201 - current Actuator
A02E112212 - modified Actuator
Notes:
a. When at the machine, please check the condition of Sensor Bracket and change the Sensor Bracket and Actuator if necessary.
b. Please refer to attached documentation for additional detail. To view the PDF, Adobe Reader® must be installed. Adobe Reader® can be downloaded for free from the Adobe® web site at: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html (http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html).

3. Some packing material was not removed from a new Transfer belt before installation.
Ensure that all packing material has been removed before the Transfer belt is installed.

I had a 353 do this right out of the gate, it was the plate on the belt. I enabled "No sleep option" and told the customer to leave the machine on as a temp fix till the mod showed up.............. Gotta love this type a crap on newer machines.

I've had this problem 2 times. Not having modified plate I just sticked films from Kyocera kit on side surface of plate. It still works.
