I have a Bizhub C35P that is saying toner missing/Imaging Unit missing. I have replaced the toner, I/U's, and the PWB Assy. Any suggestions?

I've hardly any experience wit h those little quasi-copiers but there should be a sensor in the cavity that detects the cartridge when it's in. Check to make sure that either the sensor isn't bad, the flag that actuates to the sensor isn't broken or that it isn't dirty.

If there isn't a sensor on these, there should then be a plug that connects the IU to the machine for authenticity purposes, make sure that isn't bad/dirty.

is it a near new machine?

were they the initial consumables that have run out ?

has it ever detected new consumables before ?

there is a possibility of one of the CSIC contact wires being damaged and shorted to ground.

Also ensure none of the pins are touching the silver shield (grounded)

Disconnect TC & IU CSIC harnesses from PRCB and continuity check each CSIC pin to ground. if there is any continuity you found your problem.

Had this a couple of times and the mfpb fixed it. That was after replacing all drums/toners.

i had this exact same fault, updating both firmware files fixed my issue

solution:

1. Update the firmware
2. Replace PU rails of IU (MCK) : A0VD112000 (all 3 at once)
3. Replace the holder assy of the IU's :A0VD134103 (all 4 at once)
4. Check wire harness of CSIC connections (wires that go to contacts of toner and IU)
4. Replace the toner bottle drive assy: A121R70000
