All Brother machines just say change drum soon and the customer just ignores it, running the drum past end of life causes the potential difference to narrow and the drum error or clean charge corona message is triggered.
Run a life indicator page and check drum life. (It blacks in life remaining so an empty rectangle box means end of life)
If the machine has a reports button you need to print user settings, if not then menu 5 , 5 is usually the shortcut in menu mode
Hope this helps
