Hello all, I have a customer with a brother J6720dw, that when you put in the ink cartridges it does not last the day. The machine sucks the cartridges dry within the day. the cartridges are genuine.
Any suggestions ?

If they are printing photos or full bleed images, that is why they are draining.
If there are no ink deposits in the machine, that is what they are doing.
Upgrade them to a laser printer. The cartridges last longer and are cheaper to use.
Why do they call it common sense?
If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?
Are they using Normal or High yield cartridges ?
Does the machine come new with low yield( half full) cartridges ?

A few things to check. What is their usage? Print a maintenance 77 report it will show you the print usage and cart replacement stats. Also are they unplugging the machine from power when they stop using it? This will force a deep clean cycle which uses more ink. Tell them to use the power save button on the machine instead. Also make sure firmware is the latest as there may be a software glitch. Check the quality setting and what they are printing. If it's high quality photos it will chew ink like crazy.
You can also view the amount of ink in the cartridges by looking at the window on them. U may possibly have a faulty ink supply assy or main pcb
