L8900cdw low toner yield?
I (mistakenly) sold some (what I thought were, and looked like) OEM toners to this customer and about a month later, the cartridges are totally out again? I believe I took these out of OEM foil wrapped packages, but I sold them 2 sets and can't be absolutely sure. Are these things just horrible on toner? Or maybe I just got a bad batch? I'm hoping I even got a printout page of the meter count when I did this because otherwise, it's anyone's guess how much they've actually run... ARRGGHH...

Print a report from service mode usually 73 or 77 this shows the life of the last and current use cartridge and usually even shows average coverage %.
Don't forget the yield figures are based on 5% coverage so if they print heavy coverage then the yield will drop massively.
I've seen people constantly print A4 pictures with full coverage so you can divide your page yields right down.
Also did you supply TN421's or TN423's ? as the yields are different

Hi guys.. I have no idea how to get into the service mode or to check those items. But if you give me the procedure, I can give it a shot. Also, I supplied this customer BOTH types of cartridges, but they were both 421 and 423. This machine got the lower yield cartridges, which were the 421, I believe.

- Ready Mode
- Hold the home button for 7 seconds (Black / White screen with 4 rows should appear)
- Hold the bottom row for a few seconds (Maintenance mode)
- Login with * 2 8 6 4
- Use Maintenance Mode 77 to printout the list (takes a while)
- Exit with X and then MM 99
It should be somewhere on the left in the middle with Current / Previous Cartridge usage
