    brother hl 2070n all lights just blink

    I have a brother hl 2070n it has a new drum and toner, when you power up all it does is blink, all lights, and the fan kicks on and does not shut off, what is the reset on this, if any? or , does it have internal issues, IE: circut board, bad solder joint, ect......
    could the fuser need replacing, or is there a service tech reset on the count?
    I am a copier/ it service person professionally, but not so much household printer guy...
    thanks

    I am having the same issue with a brother 2070n. When I hold down the go button as described in the attachment above the toner led is lit indicating a "Fixing unit failure" scenario. Is it possible to include another attachment that may describe the solution to this issue.

    Thank you very much for your assistance.

    Please ignore my earlier post. I was able to figure out the issue and resolve it.

    @rscohen

    I had another 2070n kicking around with a bad pcb so I stole the fuser out of that one and stuck it in the one with the fixing unit error.

    The fuser unit errors are usually caused by the thermal fuse's bi metal strip not releasing when the machine cools down. I have removed the strip and tweak it a bit so it would not get stuck. the best is to buy a new thermal fuse.
