    Dr-400 problem with hl-1440

    hello all
i am having some trouble with an hl1440 the drum is not getting cleaned off so i am getting smears on the prints. If you take the drum out and look at it you can see toner residue on it. I have replace the drum and toner cart. The fuser rollers look fine as well. Anyone have any ideas? I will attach a sample of my prints.

I'm sure it's either the drum or the toner. Most likely the drum. Try OEM supplies if you haven't already. Printing partial sheets of self-adhesive labels will cause toner to stick to the adhesive residue that will build up on the drum surface. GOOD LUCK...Jerry

Replacing toner or drum with a generic sometimes cause this issue.

Try to replace it with OEM.
