    Re: BROTHER MFC9440/Error 32

Special thanks to bojans for having just what I needed.

I took the call this afternoon, and just out of curiosity flipped open the folder Brother > Bulletins ... and what do you know? I have a PDF document named "Print Unable 32".

I can be fairly sure that I have never seen this problem before ... regardless, it points me right to the reflective sensor pointing at the transfer belt. I couldn't actually see the sensor until I vacuumed off a pile of yellow toner from it.

All I can think of is that this bulletin looked interesting, and that I'd stowed it away for just such a situation. Thanks again. =^..^=

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

    Re: BROTHER MFC9440/Error 32

    Hi all.

I got a call on this problem today. Funny thing is, it will print an internal print (user setting list, etc) no problem, but when you copy or print, it gives the 32 error. So that would eliminate the dirty sensor, wouldn't it? Scanner is moving, just won't start the printing process when copying or printing.

Any other ideas would be appreciated.
    Thanks.... Jeff M.
