5250DN Will Not Print
My first post was not allowing discussion so trying again:
Long story but here it goes:
Customer was trying to "reset" the consumable life by holding the Go button while turning on the power and then pressing go twice, then 5 times. Why I have no idea but that is what they said they were doing. After that the printer stopped working. After turning it on the main drive motor never runs, the fans come on and the Green Status light comes on after initially being yellow. If you try to print the status light turns orange and the printer does nothing but run the fans. If you try to just print a test page by pressing the go button 3 times it does the same thing. I have tried reloading the firmware but it fails. Seems to load ok but at the end it just flashes the status light RED. I have also tried using the maintenance tool to read the printers info but it just comes back with "No Readback Data!"
Any ideas what they may have done or a solution? I have told them it might be toast.
Thanks!
