    HL-5450DN jams at fuser

Hi. Have an HL-5450DN, customer recently replaced drum. Worked for 2 days, then started jamming at fuser. Paper will come up to fuser, then stops, reverses itself for a second (makes a grinding noise and shudders the whole machine) then stops. Fuser seems fine, turns and exit sensor is working. OEM drum, warming up runs fine, no noises. Any hints? Thanks.. Jeff M.

    Re: HL-5450DN jams at fuser

    Hey there,

    got the same mistake today....

I went to a customer, Printer has worked fine ( prints were only dirty)
So i changed drum and toner.

After a few hours the Printer started jamming behind fusing section. Sensors are all okay.

    Dose someone have solution?

Sensor in the fuser unit is working fine. Also the printer works fine now, had no call since April.

    Re: HL-5450DN jams at fuser

Today solved a HL-5450DN that had the same problem.
The fuser was very hard to rotate. The pressure roller couldn't put in motion the fuser film. After putting a few drops of ricoh fuser oil under the fixing film and reassembling the fuser unit, it started working fine.
I'll let you know if it will stop working.
